M7

Look I want to say this first I am a big cg4 and 88 fan. Second I'm not one to rip cigars, actually I have been accused of being easily pleased. i smoked a M7 tonight and was all excited about this cigar because I'm on kind of a big perfecto kick right now. I'm not going to go on a huge review just going to kind of lay it out here. The cigar canoed, then when I started to get that corrected it tunneled It went out at least 6 times and wouldn't stay lit now matter how quick or slow I smoked it. It didn't have any of the signature illusione complexity and just to add insult to injury was double the price of any other illusione at almost $16. I asked around at the B&M to see if anyone else had smoked this cigar to make sure I just didn't have a bad stick and found out a few others had smoked it and hadn't had quite as bad an experience as I was having but also expierenced some serious burn issues. I'm very saddened at this as this is the most excited I've been about a cigar in a while. Has anyone else smoked this PLEASE tell me about your experience. I'm still holding out that maybe my B&M got a bad batch.

Did you smoke it right after picking it up from the B&M? B&M's usually keep their humidity up on the high side. Grab another one somewhere else and let it rest in your humidor's environment for a few days, then smoke.

High humidity can really mess with a cigar's favor profile causing all of the symptoms you have described. Don't give up on it....

Man I was so excited I smoked it AT the B&M, I was practically lit before I made it to the counter, lol. I do this quite often and have never had this kind of a problem. I know they won't be perfect right out of the B&M's walk in but I haven't had this problem either. Have you smoked one?

No I have not, but have smoked other sizes of that blend. I will pick one up on Sunday and see what happens. Some smokes, in my opinion, smoke well at their RH, others do not. I try to keep my stash at 66.6% (hehe), and the results have been fantastic

I'm with Ron "Toasted Coastie" on this one. Just about all the smokes I get I let em rest as long as I can--even though you would expect the burn to be straight--i.e. Straight out the Humi, but never seems to work for me on most cegars. That is why I like to let em rest a few days or even weeks. Hope this makes since!

Ok. I think I'm going to pick up another and let it sit in the humi for a while and try again.

I did try another later on but had the same burn issues. THe taste was much better that the first time but still required a lot of work. I've been advised since then though that these guys need a good amount of rest, so maybe I'll give that a shot.

I rested a couple of these for 4 months now and smoked another the other day. Same issue, even bought these from a different shop to ensure it wasn't just a storage issue or something.

I expressed my concerns and was responded to by Dion rather quickly actually.
