illusione ... anti-semitic

Has anyone else seen this? I don't even know what to say except that I can see what the author is getting at. I would, as the author here says, a further explanation from Dion.

Well that cleared that up ... It seemed far-fetched to me from the beginning but Dion's avoidance of the issues in the article made me a little nervous. However he's cleared it up on that forum and again here on CigarLive. Sorry for wasting everyone's time with another thread on this garbage.

I think if I was accused of something like this as unfounded as it was, I'd be suing. Two things every man should live by, don't screw with my family(especially the dog) and don't screw with my money. This is definetly an assualt on the latter, possibly on the former as well(probably not the dog though).

Make sure you read what Dion wrote in the other thread referenced above as well as his response on the cigar-review forum. Clears things up a bit.

I must say that after reading all the threads invoved I personally do not care. I have yet to try an Illusione, my B&M does not carry them. But I will be trying one in the very near future while I am traveling. I never would have thought to put all of the nonsense together that the reporter did. I feel that Dion cleared everything up, at least to me, and I will be giving his cigar a try. The only reason that I will not smoke it is if I do not like it. And after everything that I have heard I am expecting a good smoke. OK thats enough of my incoherent rambling.

Not incoherent at all brother! Thats how it should be... Like it, smoke it. Hate it, don't smoke it. No need for conspiracy theorys.

Now for some rants about other forums and complements to CL....

These other cigar forums are very heated. Many members jumping quick to call out Dion on his use of the forums to settle things. Well, the business that will be hurt by these theories is his INTERNET SALES because, doh, the cigar review article was ONLINE. So the best way to settle this is ONLINE. (Wow seems all too simple) He tried e-mail, but the journalist was quick to post his emails up. The journalist put Dion out in the open for making a good point, don't make assumptions, come to the source itself (Illusione AKA Dion himself). Since large amounts of internet cigar buyers are on cigar forums its logical to try and clear things up on the boards themselfs (ESPECIALLY the forum for the website the theories came from!!!).

It seems like CL is used to having a GREAT retalor/manufactuor-member relationship and once one of these other forums gets a manufactuor/retailor on their board everyone is quick to put their 2 (one-sided, opinionated) cents in and turn a bad situation worse.

This is why I love CL, calm conversations and everyone is allowed to have their opinion. Dion even posted in the other thread that basically showed that he respected another members freedom to not buy his product. These calm respectful conversations do not happen in many other forums.

End rant/hijack

So true Mike!! (sorry Mike was trying to quote but hit edit LOL)
