Recomend me a CAO
I've had a couple of people tell me not to give up on the CAO brand after my first 2 tries.
The first was a MX2, which WAS good, it just made me feel VERY light headed (before a meal- my bad) it was a decent smoke though. The Second was a criollo. This was just a really harsh smoke, granted i did also just grab this from the B&M and attempt to smoke it in the lounge/parking lot. Probably not the best situation for either attempt really which was 100% my fault. I don't want to give up on the brand, eventually I'd like to try everything out there, just looking for a more milder jumping off point. Thanks Happy smoking -jon- |

Jon, it depends on your tastes. The CX2 cameroon is my favorite cameroon. I smoked a Brazilia last night that was out of this world. And as you mentioned, the MX2 is a great maduro!
Try the Brazilia, i don't think you'll be dissapointed. DL

If you want mild, give the CAO Gold a try. It's a little bit sweet and a very pleasant smoke. My fave is the Brazilia - it's spicy and peppery.
The Italia is also very good - a bit earthy. The Blacks are one of my wife's faves beside the Italia. We hunted and hunted for the America and had our expectations dashed. It was good, but not as good as we thought it would be. I don't know if we had some duds, but the America was kind of flat, especially compared to the Arganese Double Wrap that absolutely shone with it's perfectly complimenting wrappers.

If you want mild try the Gold. For a little more flavor you should check out the Brazilia. Yum.

Start with the Gold and work your way up from there.

Brazilia and Italia are personal favorites of mine, as well as the America....

I have not had an America, but both Brazilia and Italia are great. I saw the gold and gold maduro up the posts a little ways, and they are great smokes too. You will most likely find a couple that you really like out of the CAO line. I was one that said dont give up on them, because they have many great cigars to choose from depending on the strength and flavor profile that you want.

I personally like the Mx2, but if you want to switch things up a bit try the Moontrance. It's a good flavored smoke.
