Smoked a new Rocky... Autumn Collection.

So i figured i would pass along my thoughts on the New Autumn Collection by Rocky. It is a conny leaf wrapper i believe and had a very nice look to it. Great draw and burn all the way through the cigar. To me it was like a higher quality Vintage 1999. It was a little mild for my taste but other than that i couldnt complain. I suck at telling wha ti tasted so I will just say it had a nice light creamy taste to it. I think the rep said we should start seeing them in the not to distant future.

Hmmm...Mild in the Fall...wonder what winter will bring.

Thanks for sharing...

Did it have the same shinny silvery band on it as the Summer one?

Thanks for the good review Charles!

The RP 2008 Autumn Collection officially arrived in our warehouse yesterday and will be in stores next week! It truly is an excellent blend of Dominican and Nicaraguan tobaccos that capture a smooth and creamy spice. The wrapper is a shade grown Connecticut from Ecuador, and one of the best I've seen.

We did make a unique size for us, in very limited quantities, in the 2008 Autumn Collection. The Salomon, which measures 7 1/8 x 58. It's the first of it's kind for us.

I hope you can find them and enjoy them as much as you did the sample you received.

Actually LMAO... It had a really plain white printed band from a computer that was cut out and stuck on it... It is not what will be on the cigar when released but i guess it is what they did to the samples... In other words i have no idea what it will look like band wise.

I just picked one up today, 2 more hours and I'm off work, my weekend and will be sparking it up for my hour commute home. It is a very elegant band. silver, copper and orange.

here's a link to a pic. the image is way too big to put in the forums.

I finally got around to smoking it. Very mild, very nice. I was a little surprised at how "spongy" it was after smoking "The Edge" which is rock hard. The draw on it was not what I am accustomed to from RP. It wasn't bad but a little harder to draw than the other Rocky's i've smoked. It was very yummy. Not peppery at all. For lack of a better description it was kind of creamy. There was an underlying flavor I couldn't pick out. I went trolling on the web and I read a review in another forum where the reviewer described it as hints of pumpkin pie. While I wouldn't say that, there are hints of these kinds of spices. It was really good. I am gonna try another one.

The stout Robusto has the most white pepper notes and is the strongest of the 4 Autumn sizes, which is to say that it's medium-bodied. Overall, it makes for a flavorful morning smoke. In my opinion.
