Tatuaje Knock-offs? Twenty Cigars

Just got the weekly email newsletter and I found these interesting.

So I called the shop to see if they were Tatuaje Bundles, as the band scripting is very similar...and he said, "No, they are not". I questioned the band similarity and he replied, "Not really, you'd have to see them in person."

Anyone else seen these? I believe it is the first Tatuaje Knockoff (in appearance) out there...

Wild!

I have to stop and look at them every time I go through, thinking they are Tat bundles. But once you look at them up close, the band looks nothing like a tat band.

I have to say that they do look very similar. At least they do in that picture.

I thought the same thing. In fact, I increased the size of the picture just to look at them before I realized they were not Tat's.

The band has its differences, but the script/font, angling of the name, and the fact that it begins with "T" is all too coincidental, don't you think?

I mean, cut off the outer gold edges, and you have a counterfeit Tatuaje Red Label band, IMHO.

Could very well be intentional.

Yeah, This is not any form of Tatuaje or any part of the Tatuaje family. I believe it is made by Arganese for a cigar rep company on the east coast. This is now the third or fourth time someone has brought it up and I think that is time to call them on it.....

If you take of the gold edges the band is a knock on my East/West band but I stole that idea from the Cubans anyway. But yes, if you remove the whole outer edge, it looks like the Havana VI band.

I don't think it was intentional but it seems that it is starting to confuse people that maybe Pepin or I make this cigar. Which we do not.....

I would disagree, this band looks nothing like a tat band. where are the Fleur De Lis?? 2 guys have been around for a long time and don't have to knock off any brand to sell their cigars.

I do have to say the front of the bundle does resemble a tat havana VI and the bands do look similar to the east west bands from the pic on their site.

I have no idea what they look like in person, just from what i see on the pics

Even your CAO marketing guy thought it was a knock......Has nothing to do with Two Guys, they just sell it. It also has nothing to do with having FLeur De Lis on it either. A first glance to some it might be confusing.....
