Looks like they did a terrible job matching the cap with wrapper. I'm looking at this on my BlackBerry so its hard to see good detail. I wish you had another one next to it in the picture.

Ahh, that would of been a good idea. The other V Maduros I have, have wrappers like the cap on that one.

Did it have just a binder with no wrapper?

Looks like one stick was missed by quality control. Like Frank said, it looks like they didn't match the cap and wrapper very well.

a cap isn't cut for a torpedo, the wrapper is used to "finish" the cap...Not sure what happened here.

Not entirely true. first, this should have never made it into a box...shoot Bulz and email and he will take care of you. I can see how this can happen, I have done it myself. First, these torpedos if your take them apart actually have 4 caps. 3 of them are made from parts of the leaf that were discarded in cutting the wrapper. When rolling maduro leaf, the wrapper is wet, and all looks very close in color. This only became obvious after the cigar dried. The roller used pieces of a lighter wrapper for the cap. Again, when the tobacco was wet the roller more the likely didn't notice the difference. This should have been noticed at the time of packaging. and it is unacceptable that it made it's way to the box....again, please PM bulz, and if you look inside our box there is an inspection number stamped inside...please shoot that number bulz. This is the fault of the packager not the roller on this example. Sam |
