Cugine Review

Hey guys I picked this cigar up at the cigar heritage festival on Nov 17 and reviewed it about 2 weeks later. Just typed it up and posted it on humibase yesterday,
as my daughter was sick with pneumonia. without futher BS here's the review

Cugine by Arganese This cigar is a new release from Arganese for Joe Gannascoli of Sopranos fame (He was Vito, the gay one). Ok on to the cigar there were lots of veins,
and it was very hard packed. I got almost no scent on the foot and wrapper when I took a whiff of it; if anything it just had a light tobacco smell. After clipping I took the
pre-light draw which was extremely tight. The cigar had a bad burn starting at about the half inch mark. The flavor of this cigar was nonexistent. The burn evened out,
although I never got any real flavor out of this cigar. I had to force myself to keep smoking past the halfway mark, if I wasn’t reviewing this cigar I would have thrown it away.
It never improved. I think Arganese just put the least flavorful Maduro wrapper they could find and stuck it over a macanudo it was like smoking hot air.
69 out of 100 no pun intended

I smoke a sample when he was in town a couple months ago. While I can't remeber excate flavors etc I do remember thinking it was a good cigar and it held a very nice ash (good burn). Sounds like two totally different cigars!

I had the occasion to try the Cugine last week at Habana in Albany NY. I enjoyed this cigar so much i bought a bundle of the Connecticut wrapper. Maybe it was just a bad one you had, not sure.

I've really enjoyed the Connecticut. The aroma for this cigar is nice and it is a fuller tasting Connecticut, not that its a full flavor, but it has a lot of nice flavors.

It has taken me a while to warm up to the Maduro, it is a very different tasting maduro.

I've never had any issues with the burn of the cigar and each one i've smoked the burn has been even.
