The Harry??? Halloween 2010? =)
Hey Pete, It was a pleasure meeting you at Drac's and I know The Drac is the next Halloween Limited Edition....but what about THE HARRY???
Halloween is the Anniversary of Harry Houdini's death and I could see the cigars now..Double banded Robusto smokes...(Chains and locks artwork on the bands of course) The bands would tie in the Cedar wrapping (depicting the burlap bags or straight jackets he regular escaped from) and of course an old school lock and key on the cedar box. What do ya think?  |

That is neat Harry. Pete wants to do 13 different monsters and I am not sure he has thought of all of them, I know he has a few more up his sleeve, but my lips are sealed. Maybe the Houdini although not a monster the tie in is there.

Could be interesting.. I wouldn't mind seeing a dual wrapper (barber pole), wide dark maduro and something very light.

If you check out these interviews with Pete, he mentions how he and some others have been throwing around different ideas for the Monster series. He talks about doing a barber pole for Jekyll & Hyde and the improbability for doing a King Kong cigar based on price point.
It seems to me that he's looking toward more classical literary monsters at the moment (Frank, Drac, J&H). I'd put more money on seeing a Mummy (wrapped in tissue paper a la fonseca), Headless Horseman (Perfecto) and Creature from the Black Lagoon (Candela) themed Monster cigar than a Jason Voorhees/Michael Myers one...if Pete hasn't already thought up Headless Horseman Perfecto or Creature from the Black Lagoon Candela then I hope I get a nod for that, haha http://www.************.com/2008/11/...-pete-johnson/ http://thecigarspy.com/2008/10/31/ag...-pete-johnson/ |
