Doogie Strikes Again...

So @ the montecristo room herf, I asked the guys for a recommendation of a cigar shop in Philadelphia since it has been a few years since I was in the city, and I did not feel like hitting up Holts...so Doogie suggest The Twin Shoppe in South Philly...

So I decided to take him up on it.. I went over and walk in and the owner greats me and my group and we look at each other like we know each other, but I hesitate on putting the face to a name...

I tell him that I found out about the place from an arganese rep named

and the owner shouts out DOOGIE! next think you know Im getting told stories about the event he ran with "vito".

The owner then looks at my friend Ron and he goes, wait you know "Vito" and Ron smiles that he does, and says yes I owned a shop in Brooklyn a while ago named and the owner shouts out "THE HUMIDOR! I KNOW THAT PLACE! I WAS THERE!"

Turns out the owner visited a store back in the day when I was the manager and when my friend Ron was the owner.. It was like a family reunion. It is amazing how much a guy from Bensonhurst and a guy from South Philly have in common...

Thanks Doogie for the great recommendation!

Oh, I smoked an Arganese while there... and an Opus X (15.00 for a Torpedo!)

Barry
