OK Grand Rapids, it's time for a herf!

Anyone know of a cigar-friendly place that a few of us could gather for a little Friday after-work herf sometime in the next few weeks? We're all here for the social aspect of cigar smoking, so let's get social!

I've recently heard of a sports bar in Rockford and I think Gardellas and Taps (downtown GR) might allow cigars (is Tap's Cigar bar still open?), but they tend to be for the, ah, younger folks. I tend to lean toward more of a lounge atmosphere. Is Stogie's at The BOB still around? I guess I don't get out much...

If I can get a Guinness, all the better!

Frankly all my smoking is done in the back yard, so help me out here! Are we up for this?

So.... I'm thinking practically no one from Southwest Michigan actually checks out the "Michigan" part of this forum. I can't see attempting this without a dozen or so folks willing to get together.

OK. I'll ask about this sports bar in Rockford, MI -- which is about 50 minutes from both Kalamazoo and Reed City. It's about 45 minutes from Holland (where I live). I have not been there myself.

I'm thinking not until mid-May at this point. I have a major event to promote and then produce on May 3, then it's Tulip Time in Holland through May 10, which is a crazy time! How about May 16? Maybe we can get the word out and recruit a bunch of other folks by then. Make sense? Plus, my Rocky Patel Sun Growns will have another few weeks to rest in the humidor!

that's good for me....are you referring to SCORE Bar in Rockford? I'm about 10 minutes or less from there....i live right on the E. Beltline just outside downtown GR....keep me posted on this

Yea...i haven't been to SCORE yet, but a couple of my friends have so I will talk to them to see what the atmosphere is like and if they are cigar friendly...but i've heard great things about that place. I'll contact score and ask if they are cigar friendly here within the next few days and let you guys know....
