Minnetonka - Cigar Jones

I hadn't seen this place mentioned yet. It's small, with a couple places to sit, a table for cards and a tv in the back. The humidor is small, but the selection is decent.

Re: Minnetonka - Cigar Jones

Quite puzzled by the review of Cigar Jones by shunoshi. I think he's confusing it with another store. First off, it's not small...it's comparable to others in town and bigger than some St. Paul venues. A couple places to sit? Try a couple DOZEN places to sit. In addition to the card table, there are THREE flat screen TV's located throughout the store. The humidor is small? Cigar Jones has TWO walk in humidors...both quite large. Interestingly, the "smaller" one is devoted entirely to Fuente brands...from Opus X to Curly Heads...and everything in between. The main humidor is huge. It's stocked floor to ceiling with every premium and boutique brand imaginable. Always plenty of my favorites...Padron Anniversary and Tatuaje. Saying the selection is "decent" is the understatement of the year. The staff is knowledgeable and friendly and the place has an energy that's tough to duplicate. I highly recommend Cigar Jones.

What this guy said. I have a tendency toward understatement. I think the initial thought of small came from the narrowness of the store. I also completely forgot about the Fuente humidor. I just found it odd that the shop wasn't mentioned in this particular forum and thought it should be.

Re: Minnetonka - Cigar Jones

Wow! A triple play! Three replies in one post. First, nice job at sarcasm...STK. I saw your comments...right after you sent them...AT CIGAR JONES!! Too wierd. It was snowing at the time and I was "at the office" using their free WiFi (something I had neglected to mention). And shunoshi? You are totally right about forgetting the Fuente humidor. The first time I went to Cigar Jones I condecendingly mentioned that they didn't have any Fuente's. I felt like an absolute fool when they pointed across the store to more Fuente's than I've seen I my life. And Supercomp? I am with you my brother...LG's good. Coronado? WTF...how did they get that rating?

Re: Minnetonka - Cigar Jones

The Jones is the next best thing to a private cigar club. No membership dues, plenty of characters always on hand, amongst the best selection anyplace of good smokes and the proprietors are great.

Everyone is made to feel welcome at the Jones. Ya won't find 'cliques' being the newbie and made to feel not so welcome as I've found at other shops.
