Although Tobacco Grove is located near my home, I rarely purchase my cigars there. It's in the middle of a high traffic retail complex which robs the store of any uniqueness. Once inside, the store is appointed nicely with a good selection of humidors and accessories. The selection of cigars is very good but they could use a lesson in addition by subtraction. The humidor is very cluttered with an off-putting center island. Much of the inventory has been removed from its original packaging and resides in generic bins. The result is a sterile, almost dollar store-like feeling while inside the humidor. This is ironic due to the fact that the prices at Tobacco Grove are generally higher than the competition. The atmosphere is also a bit "chilly". If you're looking to enjoy a cigar and strike up a friendly conversation...it's a tough crowd. The employees are pleasant enough, but the camaraderie usually associated with cigar stores is missing at Tobacco Grove.
