Metallica is still definitely Metal. They're my favorite because they're not ALWAYS metal, songs like low mans lyric are amazing. I also listen to:

Tool
Godsmack
Alice In Chains
Bullet for my Valentine
Sevendust

Re: How many Metal Heads are there In here?

Greeitngs fellow metalheads,

New items of interest:

New Slayer, video is out on Youtube, should be a killer disc

New Rammstein video is out, entitled 'P**SY' try looking around for the xrated version, NSFW by any means as it is total XXX

New Rob Zombie, Hellbilly II, haven't heard anything from it, but hopefully the guys back on course and leaving the ''educated horses' sound behind.

In case you forgot to come to the show, Ministry's Adios Muther......probably the most overlooked, underrated disc from last year.
word is this is the last album, and for a live album, I have to say it's probably one of the most brutal and relentless lives shows I've heard in years

There's not really much out there catching my attention at the moment, I mean there's some great shredders kicking out some great licks, but as usual the vocals leave something to be desired. Guess that's just the old man in me, as when I sang in bands, singers could actually sing

If by chance you do miss the old hard rock/metal style vocals, do yourself a favor and go back and check out Badlands with Ray Gillen, well worth the listen. You can also find boots of him singing with Black Sabbath.

Take care,
James

Now how cool is it that you just happen to post the link right as I'm sitting here listening to the new Rammstein disc. If you are a fan at all, this is a must have cd. Just when I thought the writing style might turn out to be repetitive of their last disc, this one comes as a very pleasant surprise. Great songs, great production, great variety. Now of course there's the usual banging stuff, and the usual ballads, but keep in mind even Rammsteins ballads are usually pretty heavy. I just feel that on this album they've taken their song writing skills up a notch and I have to say I'm very impressed. But please don't just take my word on it, check it out for yourselves, I don't think you'll be disappointed.
And last but not least, thank you rottenzombie for posting a link to the video and while Pu**y may be a total xxx rating for it's content, actually it turns out to be one of the more tamer songs on the disc.

Also, keep a look out for two new King Diamond re-issues(if I remember correctly) the Graveyard and Spiders Lullybye have been re-mastered by Andy LaRouche(or however you spell, but you know who I'm talking about)
I thought these albums were pretty awesome when they first came out, so I can image what Andy's been able to do to them, and if King has given him the nod to remaster these disc, they must have turned out pretty good since King usually does all the remastering himself.

Later guys,
Stay heavy,
James

METALHEADS ALERT:

SLAYER IS BACK WITH A VENGEANCE !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Okay will some of you may disagree, but the new album takes me back to the Haunting the Chapel/Reign in Blood days

It's fast,
It's brutal
It's Slayer

Accept no substitute.

That's all I need to say.

I love Pantera, and thanks to some raving lunatic, we will never hear anything new from them again. with DD alive it was always a possibility. but now we can only enjoy what they left us....
