Re: What are you listening to?

I heard Gwen Stefani "What your waiting for?" today and yesterday, it sounded very much like something from the 80´s which I like very much.

Re: What are you listening to?

Just figgered out how to stream Sirius to my computer at work and am listening to some classic country. I hate contemporary country but I'm listening to the old stuff. Currently on:

Artist: Ernest Tubb
Title: Waltz Across Texas

Yes!!!

Re: What are you listening to?

I'm listening to Miles Davis "Kind of Blue". I'm not a huge jazz fan although my Dad was a jazz drummer through the 60's and 70's but this album is really something to hear.

Wierd. I ordered Kind of Blue from BMG a few days ago and just got it today. How is it? I'm looking forward to listening to it.

Man, you are in for a virtuoso treat! Highly regarded, very influential jazz genius by the Man. Very mellow, slightly melancholy. If I'm not mistaken, I think most of it is improv but I could be wrong. Either way, you're gonna dig it.

From what I've gathered from my Dad, it was basically Miles locking some of the best players of the time into a room and with no practice, playing the music as they felt it. It really comes through with the genius of Miles as well as the other players. Listen to it with headphones or good speakers and pay attention it's brilliant!

Re: What are you listening to?

some odd reason, i popped in "the doors", one of their many "best of" CDs a few nights back...

and today, on the ride back to work while smoking an slr pc, i had the urge to play "Live".

don't know what's coming over me... but i'll be subject to all kinds of tunes in my music appreciation class i just started...

Re: What are you listening to?

Just finished listening to some Mudhoney and now it's the Murder City Devils. I'm in the "Mu" section of iTunes.

I miss the Murder City Devils. Not too many bands know how to rock the organ anymore. Maybe next I'll listen to Inna Gadda Da Vida...
