Re: What are you listening to?

I'm a Led Head from way back and I guess, LED ZEPPELIN III, has influenced me to have a predilection of acoustic rock. Having said that, lately I've been listening to som country... Hank Williams Jr, Big and Rich, Wille Nelson, Toby Keith, Kris Kistofferson, Jonny Cash etc. Anyhow, I've been listening to (and trying to play) Little Big Town. They just did a Country Music Channel show called crossroads where country groups join a performaer from another genre. Little Big House was joined by Linsey Buckingham from Fleetwood Mac. Videos can be found here http://www.cmt.com/loaded/ My personal fav are the studio 330 sessions "Boondocks" and "Bring it on Home"

Rock On!

Re: What are you listening to?

Cole Porter as performed by a variety of people in the recent movie "De-Lovely". Purists might find it too original but I think it's great!
Great movie and soundtrack whether your a Porter fan or not.

Dammit Lumpy, we have to herf! I'll bring some Business, Exploited and the Blitz and we'll be set. I'm still working on my Joe Strummer tattoo and want to get it done over there.

I'll be over on your side of the pond early next year and we need to work something out. PM incoming.

Re: What are you listening to?

I've been listening to this Country Band, Johnny Berry and the Outliers from Kentucky. I LOVE them! This is the most "country" I have ever been into, other than the large amounts of bluegrass I listen to.

Other than that, the new Kelly Joe Phelps Album. I beliee it was someone on this thread who actually introduced me to Phelps who has since become one of my favorite artists. And then a bluegrass band I love named Crooked Still just released another CD called "Shaken By a Low Sound" which is really good.

Re: What are you listening to?

Mornings are always quiet for me; this morning, it's the delicate melodies of Vini Reilly: Durutti Column's "Keep Breathing." Vini's a genius.

Evenings lately have included lots of Sunno))), Boris, Isis, and other sludgemetal stuff. This has been a recent development, as I usually don't go in for walls of detuned guitar feedback...more of a classical, jazz, and electronic music head...
