    Cool Greetings from Albany, NY

Yes, I know... female pipe smokers are rare. I've participated in the Capital District Pipe Club for ohhh... almost 10 years now? Wow time flies! I'm spoiled rotten when it comes to choice of tobacco because even before I started working for P&C full time, Russ Ouellette was still leading our pipe club, so testing his new blends is something I've grown accustomed to. It's also one of the things I look forward to most about club meetings!

My favorite pipe is a Neerup that was given to me by Larry, of "Larry's Blend" fame. A long time family friend, he wanted to make sure I had a good smoker to use... and it is just that! I also have a Tim West Apricot Wood pipe that I love, and I bought myself a iL Ceppo a few years back as a treat for myself... and I love it too.

I'm working towards a churchwarden someday... I see so many beautiful pipes here at work, it's an excersize in self control every single day!

I look forward to participating here and sharing a love for briars and tasty pipe tobaccos!

Well, rub it in why don't you!

I would imagine that it's really fun having a job where your hobby comes in to play...

I think it's safe to say that we all love our jobs here... there's no "don't wanna go in today" going on here. You're right, working at something you're so passionate about does make us very fortunate, and we're all grateful for that

    Welcome, Ginger!

My wife wants to thank you for working at the place that's been draining my bank account. She really appreciates it!

Welcome to Puff from someone who grew up in the Albany area. You are lucky to be in an area with a shop like P&C, let alone to work there. Those fellows got me started smoking a pipe way back in the mists of time when they had a store in Colonie Center. Welcome aboard!

I remember that shop... that was way back when you could still smoke in the mall lol! The new shop here on Central Ave is fantastic, you should stop by next time you're in town!

    Welcome to puff!

I stop in at the shop a few times a year when I'm traveling up to Saratoga. Unfortunately the prohibitive taxes stop me from making large purchases in person, but I love to see all those tins & pipes.
That which is falling, should also be pushed

L&B Spumoni Gardens used to be the best pie not so much anymore. The Spumoni still rocks though! I know what you mean the Brooklyn never leaves ya!

Those were the days, indeed! I remember how the smell of pipe tobacco would drift out into the mall and you'd catch the scent as soon as you walked in the mall entrance by the store. I think it was experiencing that wonderful scent that help lead me to pipe smoking... that and good old JRR. My brother still lives in Albany so I'll definitely stop by next time I'm in town.
