Long Time Cigarer, First Time Piper

Just found this first set-up in the mailbox after getting back from a great weekend watching NASCAR and camping and enjoying beers and enjoying cigars. Excited to get some pipe tobacco and fill up many 2/3rds bowls on the way to a good cake.

You've made a great choice in a first pipe. I have several MM corn cobbs and can tell you they are good smokers. I also payed for a forever stem and will say it's money well spent. It truly makes the pipe smoke even better. One of the great things about this type of pipe is it's easy to break in. Anywhere between 2 and 6 smokes is about all it takes, plus you really don't want or need to build cake like you would in a briar wood. These pipes smoke dry without it. Enjoy..

Thanks! I see you are from Danville. I lived in South Boston for 3 years.

Do you consider yourself to be one of the fortunate who has escaped Southside? I relocated here on account of my wife desiring to teach in a title-one elementary school in this area. It is not all that bad, but I would be lying if I claimed it did not sometimes resemble the Twilight Zone
