Do yourself a favor and get a couple of cob pipes. Ready to smoke right away, almost all are under five or ten bucks so you can spend some time trying different tobacco with out breaking the bank. This, just in case you decide this type of smoking is not for you.

Welcome to pipes, Douglas. As previously stated, cobs are a great way to start. Doesn't cost much to quit, or move up.

I now have 4 MM pipes 2 forever stems and 4 briars. It's going pretty good so far. I'm getting a pretty good burn if I keep an eye on how moist the tobacco is. Still trying different tobaccos but I'm liking the stronger ones over the aromatics.

Excellent. Seems like the only thing you're missing is a meer

I know I'm hoping someone buys your meerschaum before I do. If you still have it when I pass my tests next week I will buy it.
