Re: Joining the crowd
Welcome to the Jungle. Since you're still smoking your way through suggestions .... let me throw one out for you. If you have a chance to get involved in the Newbie Sampler Trade V thread, you're likely to meet up with some kind BOLT and have a new handful of smokes to "smoke your way through". It truly is a thread full of generous vets (and wanna be vets) that can get some good sticks for you to try. Check it out:

Re: Joining the crowd
I had a feeling that would be referenced so I might as well explain
..As god is my witness I swear that I thought I had made the name Mystophales up myself and have actually been using it for the better part of 5 years online before someone told me where the name comes from. For the record I have never even seen the musical Cats and the name Mystophales was not taken from there. ![]() I was actually just told a couple of months back that the name comes from Cats which everyone at the Metal website that I write for just thought that was the funniest thing ever. I do have to admit that I even got a chuckle out of it ![]() |

Yea, I noted the spelling was different but it sounded the same to my "ear." That's as funny as anything concerning the clash between metal and musicals. Oh well, what would Andrew Lloyd Webber think of the contrast? Of course he just adapted Old Possum's Book of Practical Cats and other poems by T. S. Eliot to make a few bucks. And yes, I've seen Cats several times. Once on Broadway. I enjoyed it. I'm certain the wife did. If it were still in production I'd be going again. Peace - no jab / offense intended. Just attempting to guess at the name reference/history .

Re: Joining the crowd
I am actually not that far in the middle of nowhere since I live just about 20 miles east of Des Moines in a town named Mitchellville. It is the town that has the womens prison on the outskirts which is kind of nice considering if you are suffering a little low self esteem you can always go by during yard time and pretend to pick up a quarter and just wait for all the whistles....
![]() Either way living in Iowa sometimes always feels like living in the middle of nowhere...lol |
