Re: Storage Question
Yes, I do. Keeping the cello on won't hurt a thing. If you store two types of cigars next to each other that you don't want marrying in flavor, the cello helps.

Re: Storage Question
I store them with out. But then I usually only get 3 at a time. Have not really noticed a change of taste.

Re: Storage Question
Personal preference I think really. I have them stored in several different humidors and in various states of dress or undress. I haven't noticed any difference, but then again my wife an I both smoke them, and do alot of bombing, so theres constant movement in the humidors. I would say if you leave the cello on, then don't put naked ones next to them. Much movement will damage the naked fellers..

Re: Storage Question
Yeah, also i keep them as they come, but i try to keep the ones with cello together so they dont damage the naked ones. Also i like to keep the cello for protection when carrying away ( I tend to smoke mostly away from home).

Re: Storage Question
Here's a search for cellophane. It's also covered in several sticky threads.
Another item you may want to consider; if I'm going to smoke a freshly purchased stick anytime in the next 15 days or so, I like to take it out of the plastic just because I think it'll get the cigar closer to the environmental conditions in my humi sooner. Most of the B&Ms I buy from have the humidity cranked up to 70+. The cigars I've had from a %65 humi seem to be better, so I give them a little help to get there, (bigger RG cigars take a little longer). Seems to work so far. Just a thought. Scott"FWIW"M

Re: Storage Question
gota be naked for me. First off its part of the ritiual is to
take it off. And second I belive it gives the sticks a chance to finaly breathe

Re: Storage Question
I think they breathe just fine in the cello. I think generally it boils down to personal preference. If you're kind of iffy, like I was at first, try keeping them in cello, but cutting the cap end too. Not the cigar cap itself, but the closed end of the cello...that way they're wrapped around the wrapper, but it has 2 ends of the cello open. I've stored them for years that way, and you kind of get the best of both worlds...you get more openness than regular cello, but you still get the yellowing that so many people seek.

Re: Storage Question
I leave the cellophane on some nicer cigars I have to prevent any possible damage by rolling around or my constant handling when I put them in different boxes.. otherwise I take it off my everyday smokes because I heard they are supposed to age faster that way.
