Hello from Baghdad, Iraq
Allow me to try this again. I love the internet via satallite. Excuse me if it double posts for some unknown reason.
Thanks for having me. Who am I? 22 year retired US Army Veteran who currently is serving those who serve via Bahgdad, Iraq (Camp Liberty) as an Dept of Army Civilian. I'm an equipment specialist in the Air Defense Radar/Ground to Air Missile arena. I'm based stateside out of Fort Bliss, Texas (El Paso). This is my second tour in Iraq as a civilian (retired Nov 05). As a Dept of Army Civilian, we're required to do 4-6 month tours. I seriously sympothize with the regular army folks who are required to do 12-15 month tours. Married, 2 daughters ages 24 and 18. I was turned onto smoking cigars while deployed this year. The locals have a few shops located outside the Post Exchange and sell ISOM cigars. My favorite cigar so far that I've tried is Romeo Y Julieta No 2. I wish it lasted a lot longer than it does. The Partagas Serie P No 2 I smoked last night lasted way to long and I had difficulty keeping it lit. It didn't seem to burn right but tasted peppery and flavorful when it did. Hopefully soon I'll be able to identify when a cigar is to dry or wet to smoke. Looking forward to getting home in 38 days (who is counting), ordering my humidor and beginning my new found hobby. I've been reading many of the posts on the forums here and can tell I've got a ton to learn. No hurry there, It's not about the destination, but the trip.

Re: Hello from Baghdad, Iraq
get home safe sir. i also sampled those same sticks during while outprocessing in kuwait. where i got them from they weren't displayed in a humidor. but nonetheless they gave me a buzz that the px cigars rarely offer.
