Hello from Minnesota
Hello everyone. I’ve been a “lurker” of this board for a couple of weeks now and I’ve learned a lot of great information. I’m 25 years old and am relatively new to cigars. I’ve smoked cigars in the past, but have just recently gotten the bug. I purchased a 100 ct. humidor from Tampa Humidors (I know, it’s not big enough) and it’s been seasoning for a couple of days now. I’m excited to try all of the different cigars that have been suggested on this board, and I’m excited to learn more about this new found obsession from the FOG’s and gorillas. I’m hoping that sometime in the future I will be able to contribute to this community.
Also, I live just north of the Twin Cities, so if anyone out here knows of a good local tobacconist it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance. -Chris |

Re: Hello from Minnesota
Welcome from SW MN. There are some metro gorillas here who will probably welcome you and let you know where there are some good B&M's. I'm 50 miles west of the metro and there's nothing out here.

Re: Hello from Minnesota
Welcome!
the northern suburbs are bleak place as far as B&Ms. Tobacco Grove in Maple Grove is about the only one on the north side. Where are you at?

I live in Coon Rapids and I work in Blaine. I think I'm going to start my cigar collection with some online sampler purchases, but I would like to find a local shop to frequent as well. |

You have Tabacco Grove in Mapple Grove, and Stoggies on Grand (roughly Grand and Lex) in St. Paul that are closest & you will find people sitting around, chatting, watching sports, etc. There is The Good Life (694&36 area), but you seldom see people sitting & smoking in there. a bit further away Golden Leaf in uptown, St. Croix in Hudson, Burn in Burnsville. I can't think of the names, but Lex and Larp in roseville (more pipe than cigar) and 101&7 out in tonka also have stores I'm usually at Stogies Friday & Sunday afternoons - if you want to say hi, look for a bigger guy with and Apple on his lap and a gray traveldor next to him Mike opps, forgot perfect ash, 35E and 13 in Lillydale

Re: Hello from Minnesota
Welcome to the jungle Chris also from the state next door
I'm normally at St. Croix Cigar in Hudson, but I've also been to Perfect Ash, Stogie's on Grand, and Golden Leaf in the cities. All nice shops. Maybe I'll see you around one of them sometime
