Hello From Richmond, VA

Welcome Matt, I have not been around long myself! For all of you familiar with the area, I flew in tonight (Sunday) and am staying at the Omni. Are there any cigar friendly restaurants, bars (though I do not drink), or B&M within walking distance?

I have been to the Havana Connections out at Short Pump Towncenter and they had a pretty nice set up out there. The guys working there were also worth their weight in gold when it came to knowledge of cigars. I go to the one in Carytown because of the convenience factor. It is the closest to where I live.

You should really make it over to the Havana Connections on 360 (Hull Street Road) It's in the shopping center behind the Cracker Barrel, and Red Lobster down past Brandermill. For me they have the best setup ever. I love being able to walk around and look at their selection while smoking. They also have another store on Midlothian over by the Chesterfield Towncenter Mall. That store is ok but nearly as big as the Hull Street Shop.

There a couple downtown that you might try. You could go to Morton's Steakhouse but it is also expensive (along the lines of Ruth's Chris). You could also try Rosie Connolly's Irish Pub, Sine Irish Pub, and another one that is really cigar friendly is a restaurant called Havana 59 it is down at the 17th street farmer's market in an area called Shockoe Bottom. Just ask directions from the concierge and they should get you there. Sine irish pub would probably be the closest but I am not sure if they sell cigars.
