The Official "I'm sorry for trolling" essay thread

There are many fine new members of Club Stogie. We all were new at one point in time. Some express their enthusiasm by manic posting. Some send what they might believe to be subtle hints that they would like more established members to send them cigars. Cuban cigars.

Here we have a solution for both the eye rolling older members and the can't wait newer members to have both their problems addressed.

Any older CS member who has "noticed" trolling behavior in a newer member and would like to see a nice 500 word post on the evils of trolling and how they promise to be better, can post their name here. If the newer member responds appropriately a small sampler of 3-5 sticks is then sent by the older member.

I hope nobody mentions my name. But you know, I've never tried an ISOM, and I am a really terrific guy, and I have never been bombed, and I am just a super-cool person, and I can't afford good cigars, but I'm really a fantastic friend to have. (Is that trolling?)

I'm a lousy essay writer, but I can repeat "I WILL NOT TROLL IN THE CS FORUMS ANYMORE" 100 times on the blackboard - that would be 900 words.

My real name is Cameron Couch, and I'm from odessa, texas. I stumbled upon this site while looking for resources for my smokes. I had actually been using top 25 cigar before I found this one. I got here, looked around felt the warm "at home" atmosphere and I have here been ever since. My "essay" will be mainly about my first and last time trolling as well as my personal thoughts upon trolling. Honestly, I started this hobby/passion about 2 months ago. So I am truly a newb.



Well lets see. I was just minding my own business on this forum, and decided to see what was going on in the habanos lounge. Never been there so of course my curiousity got the best of me. So im reading the fakes again thread. I wouldnt say I was reading, it was more like skimming. My 2nd mistake. Well I start asking questions, replying like a blubber mouth, and all of a sudden I have a PM. Good ol Klugs. I even have him on AIM. Hes telling me that im in over my head and he tells me SHOO. My first reaction is who the f**k is this guy. ( no offense Klugs) So now im talking to him on AIM, and asking why im being shooed from this thread, and he tells me that the thread im trolling in, people arent even trying to trade or give away ISOM's. He thought it was more funny than anything, but he let me know that I was in over my head. After he started explaining what was going on, I then too realized I was over my head. But I'm such a newbie that I didnt even know what trolling was. So his natural response was,"Do a search of it through the forums." Then I figured out that it was begging, but not outright asking someone. The whole, "Man, I sure hope I get to try a Cuban someday." Apparently the elders have heard this one before. Klugs told me it took 50 days before he got his first. So he looks at the short time that I have been here and tells me, "You have 6 days under your belt. Now you just need 44 more." I guess what I'm getting to is that, just because we are new to the ways of the jungle doesnt mean the newbs should believe the older members are. Lets face it, for the elders, its not their first rodeo or the first newb they have dealt with. But the fact that the elders are not jerks about it makes it easier. Some of you have been here so long that you hardly remember your first several days, weeks, or even months on the forum. Then one of us comes along and makes you remember. Trolling is the ultimate loss of respect for us newbs. We are all old enough to know that the world does not give out freebies. So why do we turn to a forum, expect something for nothing. You have three strikes against you when you do so. First, you have no respect on this forum, 2nd you are treading upon a family when you do so, and 3rd you just make yourself look bad when do so. For all my fellow newbs, we know trolling is wrong, because if you have to ask "please disregard if this is out of line" to someone you hardly know then thats not exactly the best way to meet. Im just glad that Klugs was a good enough elder that he put me back into my place with little harm done to my ego. I made the mistake of trolling one time, and I feel confident when I say that this mistake is one in which it will only take me one time to learn. I even checked the word count its like 560 or so. That is without my intro.
