New Guy in Oklahoma

Ok, just wanted to introduce myself... and tell you how I got started.

My name is Jason, I am 26, married with two beautiful daughters (11mos & 5 yrs)

I had always wanted to try a "real" cigar, but over the course of time... the thoughts moved to the back of my mind and it was forgotten.

Fast forward to two weeks ago: I have an employee who is really into cigars, and I don't know how... but we got to talking about them. Well, the thought is now back in my head. True to my usual form... I start reading on-line, and learning everything that I can. Two days later I went to a local B&M, and bought a few sticks.I must say... I was quite impressed with my first aquisitions, and have since been back four times, and bought a few each time. I also bought a 100 ct humidor.

I am trying not to go down the slope, otherwise I will have to spend much more money on things my wife wants.
This is why I only bought the 100ct... my reasoning is this: If I don't have the room... hopefully I won't buy too many.

I have done some reading on the forum, and found alot of useful info... and would just like to thank everyone who contributes so that I may be a smarter newb.

Hey! A Bartian!!! Welcome to CS! I lived many years in Bartlesville so it's cool to see a cigar enthusiast from that neck of the woods! Too bad you aren't closer to OKC tho!

Next time me and the wife are up in B'Ville, you'll have to show me where the B&M is!

Re: New Guy in Oklahoma

By the way, I'm 26 also

What B&M did you go to? If you look in the regional page for Oklahoma I posted my 2 favorite Tulsa shops.

And good luck with the 100 count humi. I originally bought a 50 count humidor and that idea went downhill fast. Luckily you can get a cheap cooler and set it up relatively inexpensively to hold many, many more.
