New chimp (and wife) in Oregon
Hello,
I am Dan and my wife is Juli. I have been enjoying cigars occasionally for years now (I won't count!) About two years ago i stepped up to more than occasionally. About a year ago Juli also picked up the hobby. Now we go out to our 'Cigar Grotto' and enjoy a relaxing cigar together each evening -- a nice break with no interruptions from our three teenage daughters. I have worked my way up to 5 humidors and a coolerdor and Juli has her own 100 count humidor that she works her way through regularly! I've also got about 4 guys at work started on cigars - we get together and enjoy one on the back deck about once a week. With kids and work, I don't have much time for any other hobbies, but I enjoy the h*** out of this one. I am in Forest Grove, about 15 miles west of Portland, OR. Looks like I will see some of you at the Shilo. Hope to talk to you soon. |

Welcome aboard!
We are having a Stumptown herf at the Shilo Inn on Canyon at Walker Road this Wednesday. There is a cigar bar on the second floor and they have an excellent menu as well. If you can make it, there will be plenty of locals, perhaps even one from the Grove. I meet friends periodically for coffee at Maggie's near the college. Forest Grove is cool. --mark |

Alright.. another Forest Grovian! Welcome to ClubStogie!
I've been meaning to check out what the "rules" with McMenimens is with their outdoor area and cigar smoking, but haven't gotten a chance to swing by there in a while. Outside of that, don't seem to be too many cigar-friendly places I have ran into. At the upcoming herf we should share notes. Hope to see you there on Wednesday!
