Paul,
Welcome from another St. Louis guy, and a car lover. I always liked corvairs, and I'd still like to get my hands on a Yenko Stinger. I play with BMW's now, but I recognize that a set up corvair can be a formidable autocross opponent. Drop me a line sometime if you're headed to a place to have a cigar. I'll try to join you. I go to St. Louis Cigars in Creve Coeur regularly. |

Welcome, Corvair. I hope you enjoy your stay.
I had a Corvair once, kept it about a month or two and eventually traded it to my mechanic for something or another, maybe a transmission. The brakes were a bit weak as I recall, but the Monza is certainly a desirable collector item. I've always liked my engines with a few more cylinders and with some form of liquid coolant, but there is no denying the uniqueness of the Corvair. |
