Hello from the cigarman
New to the forum here after being introduced to it by Hammerhead. First I have to tell everyone that I was amazed that when I registered that I got my usual name that I use on the car and firearms forums.
In the way of introduction, I'm a long-time cigar smoker; over 30 years (before it was fashionable and "in"). I like strong cigars in larger (50-54) ring sizes, although I like to change off to different strengths and sizes on occassion. I collect various cigar memorabilia and accessories, including cigar art, cutters, humidors (I have about a dozen including a humidified cabinet that holds 1000+ cigars), presses and books. My favorite anecdote that I would like to share took place on the occassion of the second date I had with my wife. I went out on the porch to light up a cigar while she attended to the dessert and coffee after dinner at her apartment. She walked out and asked me what I was doing and I told her I was having a cigar. She said, "You can smoke in the house, I like the smell of cigars." I said "Will you marry me?". She did, there have been relationships based on far weaker reasons... |

Re: Hello from the cigarman
My wife has never objected on her own behalf. She did have an asthmatic daughter. That I can understand. I isolated the smoking to one room, used a ceiling fan and a candle. Made life easier.
