Newb from Richmond BC Canada
Hi all.
I just discovered this board, and look forward to learning more about cigars. I am a reformed cigarette smoker - I quit in 1983 and have never slipped, not even once. On Superbowl weekend, I made a 'joke bet' with my neighbour - he smokes some really stinky sweet cigars (backwwods?? in a purple bag that looks like candy??) that the Giants would win the Superbowl... I won, and he delivered to me a Romeo y Julieta Vintage (tubo) which I gave to my boss - why would i want it - I don't smoke. last month I was thinking about the cigar and said to the boss "I should have kept that cigar -I've been thinking about trying one..." he showed up the next day and gave me a Cuban - a San Luis Rey - and I was hooked! I've tried a few more - por Larranaga (panatela), Quintero, Hoyo de Monterrey Cuban, a Carlos Torano Nicuraguan selection, and I just bought a Te-Amo World Selection (Dominican) to try... My wife is not too keen - the cost and the health risks, and I have been smoking in the work shop / garden shed, so the kids don't see me....contrary to what Charles Barkley said - I AM a role model. So far, I have liked most, but I seem to be good for about 2/3 of a cigar before they seem to get a bit strong for me... I am looking forward to learning more and trying more, and just placed an order with Atlantic for a 5-back of Sanch Panza Caballero and a 5-pack of Tatuaije Corona Gordas, to broaden my scope a bit... I am storing what I've bought in a cooler-dor. Living in Canada we pay some huge-ass prices, so I am thinking about trying Taboo and see how that works out. Barry |

I LIVE IN RICHMOND TOO! In the "monds" to be exact :P
I got tired of the Canadian prices of domestic smokes as well. Sent an order into Taboo and it went flawlessly! Great service and great smokes. Ever been to Robusto, down at the foot of #2 road? Welcome!

Welcome to the Jungle, always nice to see another Canadian!
Take a look in Old Sailor's and DragonMan's siggy, they've got links to the applicable areas for Canadian members. Enjoy the slope.
