Greetings and question about online ordering

Hello,

Firstly, congratulations on a highly informative and friendly forum.

Secondly, to introduce myself: Used to smoke cigarettes until two years ago, when I one day walked past an old fashioned tobacconist in the UK. Seeing all the cigars on display kindled memories of having had a few tubed Davidoffs in my late teens. Although smoking cigars in my teens was probably primarily a gimmick, I fondly remembered the full and rich flavour of cigars. So, I walked into the store, bought a mid priced Honduran cigar, and upon smoking realized that I was an ABSOLUTE IDIOT for having smoked cigarettes.
Instead of the dull nicotine delivery of cigarettes , I realized again that tobacco was a wonderful and deliciously tasting plant. My new found love of tobacco due to cigars also made me take up pipe smoking. Currently, I predominantly smoke cigars, but do like to turn to my pipe on occasion, or whilst waiting for new cigars.

Thirdly, could someone, preferably a UK resident, recommend some reliable online retailers which deliver to the UK. Also, are shipments to the UK intercepted by customs and taxed? If so, then this would make the whole exercise pointless. The taxation levels in the UK are ridiculous, to say the least... I am very fortunate in that my neighbour is a stewardess who brings me cigars whenever she goes to countries where they are cheap, and I do buy cigars whilst abroad. However, as I manage to smoke about three to four Lonsdales a day, on occasion I still manage to run out. Thus the need for an online retailer. Your input would be greatly appreciated.

As far as an online seller to the UK, i dunno if any one will have your answer here. An easier way to find out is hit up the normal sites, and just email them.

I have just checked out these sites, but they do not ship to Europe. I have found some sites in Spain and Portugal which do ship to England, and prices in those countries are very reasonable, but don't know which sites are reliable. Perhaps I will get lucky and someone from the UK is wandering through the jungle.

I am looking primarily for decent low to mid priced hand mades for all day smoking, as I smoke all day, but also for finer smokes for the occasion. I do not have a country predisposition, but they should be hand made and well conditioned.

Might seem a bit odd basd upon your location but...

Requesting sources for Cuban cigars is not permitted here for any location. Pnoons question was a request for clarification based upon this concern. Your request also is asking for ways to avoid your countries taxation system which is probably not a good idea for any of us to get involved in here.

Folks do alot of one on one interaction outside these online boards once they get to know one another. We have a number of UK members. Might be a good suggestion for you.

Since you have read thoroughly the welcome PM and stickys, you are well aware that soliciting vendors (and discussion of the same) that sell Cuban cigars is not allowed at Club Stogie. Please keep that in mind. Those that respond should as well.
