Greetings from NorCal

Just joined a couple weeks ago, have been reading a lot good stuff here. I enjoy reading other’s stories of how they started down the slope, so here’s mine:

Used to smoke the 7/11 type junk (swishers, phillies) while at parties 12+ years ago. My first “real” smoke was an Arturo Fuente 858, quite enjoyable, and wouldn’t break the bank at around $3 a stick, that was about 8 years ago. On my honeymoon to Jamaica in ’98 I picked up some ISOM’s to see what all the fuss was about (I was skeptical). Well, the first one I smoked was a Montecristo #2, my skepticism was gone! Incredible flavor down to the nub. The second one I had was a Cohiba, I was not impressed, but with good reason, I later found out it was a fake! Today I have a little humidor with a few cigars usually occupying some space, most of these have come from my step-dad, Rod (a member here as well). He has given me a friendly nudge as I slip down the slope some more, although I am enjoying the ride!

Welcome to da jungle.
Would your stepdad, Rod, be Franksmith? If it is, you're halfway down the slope already.

Welcome!
Put on some pads as this is a deep, fast slope.

Nice intro and welcome to Club Stogie!

You have a good mentor in riding the slope.

Re: Greetings from NorCal

Woo hoo... #1 has arrived!!

Now he will understand how I ended up owning a 6' humi in such a short time.... hanging out with a bunch of ISOM junkies

We're working on his brother... he has had a couple.... last time Eric (Enub) and Joseph went wheeling I sent along some Boli PC's and other stuff and Joseph imbibed.

How long do you think it will take Joseph to have a screen name Eric?

(BTW.... I got enough of the garage cleaned up to turn it into my cold weather smoking clubhouse... your Mom is already complaining about the smell )
