Although I am currently exiled to the barren steppes of the Great American Wasteland known as Nebraska, I graduated from Anna-Jonesboro CHS and recieved my AAS in Aviation Technology from SIU-C. My wife is also a long term SI resident being born in Herrin and living in Carbondale when I met her. I look forward to any chance that I can get to visit the area and hope to make it back down there again next year. I spent a wonderfull two days of vacation down there this summer visiting the old haunts in "Carbonhole" as we used to call it, and my favorite place in the US, the LaRue Swamp where I spent most of my free time as a teenager trying to reduce the population of ducks in the area, mostly unsuccessfully Anytime I see a V of geese flying overhead, I miss Southern Illinois.

Anyway, welcome to the jungle. It's my second favorite place to be (other than the swamp).
