Hello From St. Louis
Greetings Gorillas!
My name is John, and I live in the St. Louis area. I've been lurking for over a year, mainly reading the reviews of the various cigars. I have found them to be veryhelpful, to the extent that if someone like SeanGar likes a cigar, I can buy some without fear that I won't like them. I finally registered this weekend, and I look forward to participating in this community. I have been hoarding cigars for over a year, and now I have a number of choice examples in my humidors. My fav's include: VR Don Alejandro, Trinidad RE's and Reyes, PAM Imperiales, and RAllones CG's. My favorite day to day smokes are Padron 3000's and DR Trinidad Toros. I'm looking forward to trying some HUpmann Mag 46's or Monarca's. I work in insurance (but I do not sell it-no need to run and hide). I like wine and Belgian beers. I also play with cars, doing a bit of track driving with the BMW and Porsce clubs. I look forward to sharing this passion with this very knowledgable group. Regards, Gordie |

Welcome to the Jungle John!
Tell us where "Gordie" comes from, first thing that came to my mind was Gordie Howe, but you're not from Detroit. ![]()

When I was in college (at a small engineering school in Terre Haute), none of my buddies would ride in the car with me My driving was too, um, spirited. Combine that with a name (first and last) that's a lot like "Johncock," and I awarded the moniker Gordon (or Gordie). When I entered the "anonymous" world of the internet, I decided to use that old nickname as my on-screen persona. And I still scare the crap out of people in my car. I am a Drivers Ed instructor for the BMW Club and the Porsche Club, and I have a couple of M3's that are the only things I spend moe $$$ on than cigars. Playing with them is my other passion. |
