Hello From Southern California

Howdy ya'll, lurked your forums for a bit, and finally registered. I learned a lot from all the information here, and I appreciate the time you folks have put into it. I just started cigar smoking not too long ago, and I definately like it so I'm going to get more into it.

Welcome to the crowd from another SoCal newb! I live in the SouthBay and can recommend some B&M's and a couple good smoking spots if you're looking for any!

Welcome! Many SoCal folk here, so keep your eyes peeled for local herfs if you've a mind to meet some of the friendly folk that call this jungle home.

Re: Hello From Southern California

Great to hear that there's a lot of SoCal people here. I just dropped by two places near where I live (El Monte); Mursuli Cigars and Cigar Palace. I also ordered my Ronson Jetlite from their website since many people here approve of it.

Mursuli Cigars rolls their own, complete hand made right in the shop which was pretty interesting to watch. They've got a Natural, and Maduro in different shapes and sizes. I've tried the Natural Churchhill and I like it. While I definately am not knowledgable enough to explain the specifics, it had a nice draw and I enjoyed it. I have not tried the Maduro yet, but I am tonight with some scotch. I gave a pair to my coworker and while he loved the Natural, he hated the Maduro. I also picked up a 30-35 yield humidor too for $40 cash, just wiped it down in distilled and a spounge in there waiting.

I also dropped by Cigar Palace in Arcadia and it was very nice; great selection, and knowledgable guy. I know about H Upmann, and Fuente, but he showed me 4 or 5 other brands that I should try. I walked out with some H Upmann's, Camacho, Flor Fina, Fuente's, Padron, Fonseca, Criollo, and one or two other items. He even threw in 2 cigars, and a glass case to hold a cigar in when I go golfing.

If any of you other SoCal'ers know of good places near Los Angeles, I'd love to hear about them.

www.cigarbid.com is the only place I buy my cigars....Look at what you paid for the sticks you bought then compare the prices to cigar bid...you might be suprised how much money you save getting sticks online
