Another Green Smoker Here in So Cal!
Hi! I'm new and started smoking cigars in July at a camping trip. Since then, I've sloped big time:
A couple of weeks after the camping trip, I bought a 40 ct humidor form a b&m (what does b&m stand for anyway?), by a sushi joint I frequent with my friends. I filled that up pretty quick and bought a 150 ct (really only holds 100). I'm now thinking about stating a coolidor, as I have another shipment of cigars coming in and I'm not sure if I'll have room for all of them. As I smoke more and more cigars, I notice certain things that I didn't pick up before. My smoking experience: the first couple of cigars I had where Cohibas. Very smooth. I tried some form my local b&m: punch champion, astral tvs, and an AF. All pretty smooth and mild. I've had a few more after. A friend refered me to a shop that had beer that no one else was selling. I go and they have the beer and a walk-in humidor. He seemed to have a good collection. He had short stories, several boxes, while other b&m's i've been to didn't have the ever so famous short stories. I thought right off, this place is THE place. The owner is more than helpful. He had some padron anniversaries, and the unmentionables. You know, the ones you're not surposed to have. I picked up some of the 1964 at a discounted rate due to the minor damage the sticks had. Damaged, but by all means smokeable. He gave them to me for a couple dollars cheaper then he'd normally sell them for, $17 instead of $20. I smoked one that day and still have the other. Ever since I've been on a padron kick. They are great! Granted, I've only smoked that 1964 and a few 5000 Maduros. Ever since these, other cigars have changed. I notice things I haven't before in the flaver and aroma. I'm gonna go back one day and try some of those unmentionables. I'm still trying to figure out my taste and have spent more then I ever dreamed I'd spend on bundles of rolled tobaco leaves. Anyway, enough rambling. oh, hi ![]() By the way, I live in Ventura County, CA ![]() |

And here I thought by green, you meant candela. I'm all sorts of disappointed.
But seriously, welcome. I hope you enjoy your new, and expeniseve, hobby. |
