First off I would like thank all of you for guiding me towards a more positive buying experience. I never expected so much feedback from the members. Nothing could replace experience, and this forum has lots of it. To all of that I am truly grateful.

Well Mike’s Cigar was a fabulous little shop smack in the heart of the Bal Harbor District close to the Beach. It was a beautiful day, 75 degrees clear blue skies perfectly fit to buy some stogies.

I introduced myself to the store manager Emilio and handed him a list of about 40 different types of cigars. Prior to heading out to the store I printed the cigar names that everyone here recommended. “Friend’s recommended these to me”, I said. He looked over the list and nodded his head in approval.

Overwhelmed with so many cigar choices that I sincerely have no clue about, I moved on to the humidor section which I felt should be choice #1 anyways. In stock were a lot of really high end humidors in all sizes. I’d rather spend on higher end cigars than a really high end humidor right now though. Eventually I will upgrade to a higher end humidor. Anyways, they did not have any selections in my price range ($100-$150 / 100-150 cigars) that I like so I passed.

A little disappointed that they did not have a humidor for me but still excited to have a great list of cigars along with some spare CA$H I pressed forward. Emilio was very helpful explaining the differences of the various brands and their origins. When all was said and done here is what I left with.

Another update:

On the way to pick up some pizza for the family tonight I stopped by a new cigar shop less that a mile from my house.

2 -Padron 6000's
1 -Dream Estate Java (flat cigar smells like chocolate)

Man this stuff is addicting....
