Need help FAST!!!
Hello Gentlemen,
Tomorrow morning I will take a drive out to Mikes Cigars one of the largest distributors of cigars and related products here in S. Florida. As a newbie in this world I am looking for some last minute recommendations on cigars that are a "must have" for a newbie. I realize that this is very short notice for maximum help from you all but I figured I’d give it a shot anyways. Note: One of my poker buddies has me hooked on LA GLORIA CUBANA TYPE R #5/6. I love how it is flavorful yet smooth all the way to the end...No nasty after taste. The smell is great for me too, but what has me hooked is its smoothness. Any other recommendation will be highly appreciated since I will buy my first humble little humidor tomorrow along with maybe 30-40 cigars to start my endeavor. I LOVE SMOKING!!! On top of the physical pleasure achieved, something about smoking connects me to my cigar smoking great-grandfathers, and grandfathers that is very fulfilling to me. Looking forward to learning and growing as a Cigar Aficionado… Take care, Nestor Z. PS. I will check this thread and my emails before I leave my house in the morning. Thanks. |

Re: Need help FAST!!!
Off the top of my head and not breaking the bank and not knowing what you might like
Rockey Patel vintage 90 and 92's. And any of the Arturo Fuente Hemmingways ( ok kind of pricy ) Torano line is good. LA Aroma de Cuba Stacey |

Re: Need help FAST!!!
First off, Skip the 30-40 count. go straight for the 100ct or higher, Trust us on this, you will need the space.
Then grab a variety of smokes. Torano 1916 Padron 6000 Maduro AF Hemmys Avo's Monte's then grab a few of the bundled(If the bundle is opened)cigars Flor De Oliva's are good smokes for the price of an everyday Ron |

Re: Need help FAST!!!
Gidday mate, welcome to CS. Sounds like you're gonna kick things off with a bang, very cool.
Some good recommendations above. I would endorse the El Rey Del Mundo's. Partagas Black is a good line if you like some flavour. Also CAO Brazillia Piranha CAO L' Ann Extreme I have found to be good. Punch Rothschild Dbl Maduro, although these may need some time to sit. Gurkha Regent Toro Arturo Fuente 8-5-8 Flor Fina Maduro Enjoy your search and hope to hear about your endeavours. ![]()

Re: Need help FAST!!!
I have been to Mikes, when you find a box you want, go through the hwhole stack of them. sometimes you find boxes towards the bottom of the stack that have cheaper prices. check out the bar in the old bank vault, kind of cool

Don't forget the Fonseca Cedars. A very nice cigar for not a lot of money.
