Mouth Watering Good
I am two months in to my cigar smoking experiences and have enjoyed some good stuff and some not so good stuff, however, one thing I can't seem to figure out is why my mouth waters so much while smoking.

I hadn't smoked anything up until two months ago and can only attribute that as to why my mouth waters so much. It's really starting to be inconvenient having to spit while having a smoke. I enjoy the taste of a good stick but am wondering if this is something which will ever stop

not really though it gets less and less each time you smoke.

I noticed the same thing, made a poll about it. Check out this thread. It should have all the answers you could ever want. Short answer, you'll always salivate more. Another short answer, drink something with the cigar, you'll spit less. It works for me. I always have a sprite, a coke, or a water handy. Recently I've gotten re-introduced to the world of fine spirits, and am looking forward to a stogie with a nice dark beer like a Newcastle Brown, or maybe some port if I can procure some.

Another thing to consider. When I smoke my everyday cigar (at about a buck a stick) I spit a lot. When I smoke a week end cigar (at $5 to $9 a stick) I don't spit at all. Another variable in the equation I move around a lot at work and when I smoke a good one at home I sit in a recliner with a drink of some sort. Finally, I work in a steel mill and can usually spit on the floor. At home the wife won't let me.

Greetings Rituxumab and welcome to Club Stogie. Try drinking something while your smoking it wont reduce the saliva but you wont have to spit as often if at all.

Well Shawn, if you quit smoking the $hit I give you, and buy some good smokes, you might not have this problem.

I don't know how you finished that La Piedra. I threw it down and crushed it into the dirt, back where it came from.

Anyone got some Cremosas for Shawn?
