New Gorilla in the midst
Hello,

My name is Mike, from Kitchener, ON, Canada, new to the forum about 5 years in the hobby. Been to Cuba several times and benefit from family & friends frequent travel there, usually have a decent stash of cigars:Cohiba Siglo 1's & 2's and Monte 1's.

I have fallen completely in love (again) with Siglo 1's durring the commute home from work. Problem is my humi is starting to run low on them and as much as I love 'em can't justify paying the $19 CDN/stick at the local tobacco shop.

Anyone know of a lesser priced cigar (maybe something from DR) that is simillar but less damaging to my wallet?

Welcome fellow Canuck... as per the rules its not in good form to talk about CC sources openly in the forums. Stick around for a bit and I'm some of the Canadian BOTL will be able to help you out.

I would suggest you take a look at the stickys and FAQ section as it will give you a good feel for the place.

Welcome - if you can find anything from the DR that tastes similar to a Cohiba, please please let me know!

I would definitely try something with Nicaraguan tobacco. Not really close, but definitely closer than DR tobacco.

Maybe try some cheaper Padrons or some Don Pepin Garcia's. Do a search for Pepin whores if you want more information.

I'm confused, I did not intend to offend the form in any way, I guess "cc" refers to Cuban Cigars? If so I am a Canadian, no embargo here, I travel and declare my sticks and my family members do the same, can't see how that's "not in good form to talk about".

If I've missed something please let me know (via PM if you choose) not looking to ruffle any feathers.

I think some thought you were asking about where to buy Cuban cigars cheaper. I took your post to mean "where can I get some cigars from different countries that are comparable to Cubans". Anyway, we are an American based forum and since Cubans are illegal for us it is not allowed to discuss how or where to purchase.
