I have been a smoker off-and-on since the age of ten (I'm now 62). Cigarettes in the early days, then switched to a pipe while in college (seemed more sophisticated). Quit the pipe back in '98 when my dentist told me I had a pre-cancerous palate. It cleared up nicely soon thereafter. Since then have still enjoyed an occasional cigar - usually store brands - but lately have discovered the joys of premiums. Luckily my wife really enjoys cigar aroma and has encouraged me to continue, even to the point of promising me a good quality humidor for Christmas.

Having become excited about the prospect of diving in head first I stumbled upon CS, liked what I saw, and promptly signed up. An amazing amount of interesting and useful information here.

Other hobbies include motorcycle riding and touring (H-D 2002 Low Rider and 2008 Ultra), pistol shooting (too many to mention), hiking, ATV and Jeep exploring (wherein comes the screen name, Prospector), digital photography, personal computers, and home improvement projects. Where do I find the time for all that? Actually I don't, but being retired helps some.

Oh, and you can call me Mike.

Glad to hear that. Maybe they can point me to some good B&Ms in the area - they seem to be few and far between. Specifically I'm in the Verde Valley area in Northern Arizona - Clarkdale to be exact.

Interestingly our local gun shop also sells premium cigars - talk about yer one-stop shopping
