I've been lurkin for a little while and just recently decided to sign up since it seems this cigar thing has become more serious.

It all started with me and the girlfriend hitting up the casinos regularly in the past few years (I'm a budding pro poker player). That would be the only time I smoked cigars (or anything) AT ALL!!

Last Christimas, she bought me a "vice kit". This consisted of a 50-stick, glass topped burled wood humi, a 3 stick leather travel case with a sterling silver 2 blade cutter, and a 8 Oz flask.

Well, I would buy a stick here and there when it was time to travel to a casino, but nothing serious. Just in the last 4 months or so, she's been asking me "When are you gonna actually use that humi I bought you?"

So I set out in earnest to learn about cigars and the enjoyment of fine tobaccos. Buying as many samplers as the humi will hold.

In my many countless hours of study, I came accross this site. I must say, it is a refreshing change from the other snobby, talk-through-your-teeth, aficionado sites.

. You guys seem like cool group of dudes/dudettes who just like to enjoy a good smoke, a good drink and good company.

I hope you guys dont mind me hanging around a while, I'll try not to be too much of an a** and I will add to the convo whenever I can be of assitance.
