(CR) New Here? Please introduce yourself.

Welcome to the Message Board of Cigar-Review.com

My name is Kevin, and I am the creator of this web site.

I have been enjoying cigars since 1998. I am originally from New Jersey and moved to the Ft. Lauderdale, Florida area in 1996.

Some of the things I like are; movies, music, reading, cooking, drinking, smoking and women. As to music, I play guitar and bass fairly well, and piano and drums fairly crappy. The drunker I get, the better I sing.

I have worked in the areas of sales, marketing and advertising my whole life. I started in Internet marketing in 1997 and designed my first web site in 1999.

I love living in South Florida with the sunshine, palm trees, beaches and no cold weather.

Please tell us about yourself.

From Kansas City to Clearwater

Hello all
I have only lived in Florida for about a year. I am a Network Administrator/Technician from Kansas City and have moved to Tampa Bay for 2 reasons. Better job prospects and better cigar selection. I do miss my friends and associates in KC but I am enjoying the sand and sun of florida. My wife and I have settled in the small town of Largo in a nice apartment community around a small lake. I have been a buddhist for the past 8 years, which may explain some of my odd-ness. I am a vegetarian, I don't drink any alcohol. I do drink alot of coffee and love my daily cigar ritual. I have a few standard smokes in cigars. I like the Oliva Grand Maduro from Flor De Oliva. I really enjoy La Gloria Cubana and Sancho Panza Corojo. Lately since I am still on a tight budget I have been smoking budget smokes. I recently bought a bundle of "All American Churchill's" from the local Tobacco - Depot. I will tell that story in my next post.

Hey Patrick,

Thanks for introducing yourself. Welcome to the new message board at Cigar Review. Since you're in Largo, I'll suggest my favorite West Coast Florida beach - Clearwater Beach. It lives up to it's name. The water is clear enough to see the bottom for several yards out. You can also see dolphins swimming and jumping out of the water. There's a cool pirate ships that shoots it's cannon at the beach too.

I was going to talk about the great steaks you can get in Kansas City, but you don't eat meat. :P That's ok. I volunteer to eat your share of the meat and drink your share of the alcohol. ;-)

I'll have to see if Chef Phil, our resident Executive Chef, can come up with some cool vegetarian recipes. If you have any yourself, feel free to share them in the recipe forum.

I love all three of the cigars you mentioned, and I like coffee a lot too. In our current poll, it's the number three choice right now after scotch and beer to have with a smoke.

Tobacco Depot is a great chain of stores on the West Coast of Florida. I visit them whenever I'm over there. Some good bundles I've got from them include Flor de Olivia and Cusano.

Once again, welcome to the board and thanks for introducing yourself. :-)

Introduction

My name is Toby, AKA Sparhawk. Sparhawk is a character in a David Eddings series. If cigars were popular in medieval times, I would imagine he would have smoked them.

I'm married to a lovely woman 8 years my junior. She loves the smell of a good cigar and likes to be around when I light up. I have been smoking cigars for about 5 years off and on. Since getting a new job 2 years ago, cigars have been elevated in my priorities since my Boss and several colleagues smoke. it has become a favorite pastime.

By all definitions, I am a beginner and seem to always have questions about cigars. I shop several places locally and on the NET.

Does she have a sister for me?

She has a sister, but not much in common with cigars and things. Oh well, Guess I'm the lucky one....

Hello all.

My name is Todd and I live in the Florida Keys. Summerland Key to be exact - 25 miles from Key West. I work for a local newspaper as their graphic designer/artist and have been in that line of work on and off for about 14 years now.

I was born and raised in Miami (rare Florida native), lived in West Broward County (Plantation) for 5 years and spent 4 years in Tallahassee. My wife, while not a Florida native, grew up in Miami as well.

I've been smoking cigars for about 8 years, but more so in the last 5 years since moving to the Keys.

I like the higher end cigars (Fuente, CAO, Olivia, Partagas, Punch, Padron, La Gloria, etc.) but they do get expensive. With the high costs of living in the Keys I have found some of the locally produced cigars in Key West are very good and a little less costly.

island_smoker - welcome to the board and thanks for introducing yourself. Let me know if you're going to be up in the Plantation area anytime in the future and we can get together and smoke some cigars.

Whenever I get down to Key West, I always visit the cigar shops and buy some of the local cigars, as well as national brands.
