I am a member of a couple other cigar forums but every time I go to a herf or event I hear this is the place to be. I signed up about a month ago but there has been a roadblock to me posting. Up until this week, my work had this site blocked for whatever reason. Being that the majority of my posting on other sites comes during working hours, I haven't been able to participate on this board. This past weekend at the September Atlanta Area Herf, held at Jim's Blue Havana II, we started talking about what forums everyone was on. Once again, everyone chimed in with Cigar Live. So, this week I tried to to log on from work again and low and behold I can now reach this site from work. Score!

Now for a bit about myself. I have smoked cigars for about 10 years but I had never been very serious about it up until 3-4 months ago. I would buy cigars when out drinking at a bar or maybe pickup a couple of whatever the liquor store had when I was there restocking. Macanudo, Don Tomas, Helix and others that are mild and easily accessible were my staples.

About a 4 months ago, one of my buddies out of state contacted me and one of things we started to discuss was if either of us had any good cigars recently. I hadn't, but he started telling me about some of his recent acquisitions. I decided that I wanted to get serious about collecting and smoking cigars so I began researching. I discovered a B&M(Blue Havana) close to my house in Cumming, GA and went down there to check it out. About $200 later, I was on my way home with a new 100-count humidor and some very nice cigars to start my collection. I got a couple of Ashtons, couple Olivas, couple Padrons, an A. Fuente SG, a La Flor Dominicana Ligero, Carlos Torano and a few others. These cigars took my cigar smoking experience to a whole new level of enjoyment.

Of course, I thought it would be a long time before I could fill up a 100-count humidor. Not so. I now have that original 100-count, another 250-count and a 48 qt. cooler full of cigars. My how slippery that slope is.

My current favorites include just about anything from Jose 'Pepin' Garcia. I am loving the Tatuaje line, DPGs and the new San Cristobal.

I look forward to contributing and learning much from all of you.
