Greetings from Eastern PA
Hi, everyone! I heard about this site on the Blowin' Smoke podcast and thought I'd check it out. Well, guess I'll write a lil' bit about myself as an introduction...
My name is Pete, I'm a "youngin'" at a few weeks over 29, my first cigar was in late '97 (V Centennial Churchill Maduro, from Tobaccolara Tropical, not that it means anything), I'm a Fly Fishing and Fly Tying fanatic (in my username. a Zugbug is the name of my favorite nymph fly), I'm married with a son on the way (due April 4th), work full time as a Mammalian Cell Culturist (science geek) and am finishing up my MS thesis in Teratology (birth defects and the junk that cause them). On the cigar- specific front, I usually reach for medium-to-full bodied, full-flavored sticks. I honestly don't like the taste of pepper in a cigar, yet love exotic spices - maduros are great, as are corojos. Size preference is for lanceros and coronas, as I rarely have over 45 to 60 minutes without having to set a smoke down and do something... and relights aren't nearly as good, in my opinion. Some of my current favorites include Camacho triple maduro, Joya de Nicaragua Antano - especially the Lancero, La Gloria Cubana Serie R mad, Cohiba XV, Tatuaje Havana 6 (red label), and Pepin Series JJ (natural)... etc etc etc... Hope to say hi to you all and get to know ya', ZugbugPete |
