Hello from Delaware. Who does everything I type come out wrong?

Hi, I am a newb from Milford Delaware. I am a music teacher at a middle school, and my wife and I are "new" to DE.

I have been utterly amazed as I have spent the last several years joining and participating in a few new worlds, and passions.

I am a motorcylist. I have been riding for several years, and by riding I was introduced to the cigar world. These are two very exclusive worlds that I have enjoyed learning about and being part of, and gaining new "family" members through. I am also an American Civil War reenactor. That has helped my love for cigars to blossom because it is there that I learned a lesson that I guess I already knew, and it is that there are very few things in life that can create a bond between two people like having a good cigar and just kicking back.

As I have become more educated and been able to glean more information on cigars, the more I want to know. I think my wife is tired of my going on about them, but I LOVE learning about them and trying new ones. When I am able to make it to my favorite shops where I know the people know what they are talking about, I try to get one of my favorites, one that I have read about and want to try, and one that is recommended to me, at minimum.

My first "real" cigar was a Cohiba paqueno, and that got the ball rolling. Because my wife and I are just beginning our careers my ability to buy cigars, several at a time, is limited, but I do try to enjoy a cigar that I've never tried before as well as one that I know I like whenever I am able to buy.

Right now, my favorites are Oliva serie V, torpedo, Exile, and Avo Maduro No. 2.

I do ask your patience because I am still learning, even though I have been enjoying cigars for several years. My number one goal in joining this forum is to learn and possibly meet new people. Any and all advice and suggestions are welcome, and I am thoroughly looking forward to enjoying every aspect of this board, as well as, the cigars and so forth that are recommended to me.

You will do fine here. Good to know that you are a motorcycle enthusiast as well. Nothing is better than taking a nice ride to a B&M and hangin out, have a good smoke and then a different ride back home. I have ridden motorcycles for most of my life and smoked cigars for at least 40 years and I love these two hobbies. Welcome to the forum and here is a photo of my ride,,,

I know what you mean. My wife and I moved at the end of the summer, and I miss being able to ride to my favorite B&M in Gettysburg.... It sucks, and because I live in a HIGH tourist and money area now, I haven't found a B&M as personable. It sucks.

I've been riding for about 10 years and enjoying cigars for about 6 years. I have thoroughly enjoyed both and I hope to continue.

These are pictures of my rides.

Welcome Ben! We are both in a similar line of work and I get to Delaware every couple of months for the job so I have a feeling our paths might cross sometime in the future. Welcome to the board... love the screenname. Have you had the chance to meet Peter?

Thank you and thank you.

Ninja 650R isn't a bad bike. Pretty easy going as far as sport is concerned. Especially when you figure my first bike was a 1974 Honda CB550-Four.
