Hello from Seoul, Korea
Hello,
Very cool forums you have here at Cigar Live--seems like a great group of folks posting here! My name is Les, I retired from the U.S. Army about six months ago and decided to relocate to Korea, where I enjoyed serving while I was active duty. I was fortunate to find a decent job here working on a U.S. Army base. I've got friends that are Brothers of the Leaf, and I finally tried a quality cigar while sipping cognac about a year ago after a wonderful meal shared with friends. Prior to that I had only had White Owls and the like. I'm sure it comes as no surprise when I tell you that smoking a good cigar was an unexpected pleasure. After that experience I always kept a few cigars on hand to share with friends or to enjoy for myself. Since I moved to Korea I have made new friends, many of whom are also BOTL. Korea doesn't have much of a cigar culture, and although Cuban cigars are available, they are expensive (between $12 and $30 a stick) and often poorly stored prior to sale. I've found that $3-$6 a stick non-Cuban cigars ordered from a U.S. source (internet order via U.S.P.S.) is to my taste just as good as the high-dollar Cubans I've had. I hope to check this forum regularly and participate in the threads, although I expect that I will listen much more than I will speak. I have already learned a lot in just the short time I've browsed through the threads here. Thanks for welcoming me to your group! Les |

Thanks for the greeting, Squid®. My last assignment in the Army was Fort Hood, and I really had a hard time leaving The Great State of Texas. I left a lot of friends there, and I hope to return there to settle down someday.
