Greeting to all from King Alexander of Chicago IL bordering the Norwood Park township, and Park Ridge!

Finally, my journey for cigar buddies has come to an end! I've actually found HUMANS that like fine cigars that dont have the JackAss gene imbedded into their DNA.

I actually started posting here a few days ago, but got so caught up, i forgot to introudce myself!

I honestly didnt think that there were any other forums other than the god forsaken CA boards. holy crap that place is like torture. No offense to any members, but MAN that place is crooked. i seriously signed up there about 2 years ago, and have NEVER posted a single message. i read occasionally, but thats it. BIG TIME attitude there.

Anyhow, i think you all motherflippin' rock! and i cant wait to get to know you all.

Heres a mini profile:

I'm 26, from chicago. My dedicated shoppe is Cigar King in Skokie. Partly becuase its the shizznit to hang out at, partly because i have a good friend of mine that works there, but mostly becuase they cater to ALL of my cigar needs.

I've been smoking cigars for about 3 years now. And unfortunately cigarettes as well, but those have been up my ass for 13 years.

I started cigars with the Cohiba mini tins, believe it or not. I got one at a function and was blown away how well it went with my drink. The next week, it was all over for me. I lost my damn mind at the shoppe.

I started as most do. Mild, then worked up and away to the strong stuff.
But, i can tell you i can still appreciate a Diamond Crown every so often.
But, i can NOT swing most others. That "toasty" taste of most mild ones like a Cusano 18, uh-uh. not having it.

My favorites are just about anything and everything Fuente. Ashton VSG. The Padron 1926 and 1964 are mainstays in my humi. as of late though, Tatuaje and Padilla Miami have made plenty of rounds.
I'm the type of guy that will try any cigar once. I buy singles all the time. In fact, the only boxes i every buy are of my top 3...Don Carlos #2, 1926 Maduro No. 6, and the VSG Illusion. and of course cubans i buy by the box as well.

My thoughts on Habanos are like this. They're superb cigars. i love them. who doesnt? BUT, there are SO many excellent flavors that are out there, you would be nuts not to want to try.

so with that, hopefully, you all have a better idea about me now, and we can get back to talking SMOKES!!
