Howdy y'all,

David from CA entering your land.
Been smoking Cigs for way too long. Am on the path to eliminate them from my lungs and enter Full Cigar, One & Only Land.

First puff on a stogie was at least 10 odd years ago.
I was lucky. My first pull happend on the one and only island of Cuba. Flew in from Canada with my Dad for a week of Scuba Diving and just exploring that incredibly unique place. The old 1950's US cars driving around myth - aint no myth at all. They are everywhere. They must be getting really creative on auto parts in that country.

So beautiful over there but completely crumbling. Literally, you would walk down a narrow street and up in the air, between 2 two-story buildings, one on the left, the other on the right, would be a massive hunk of wood. Whatever the width of the street was plus a good foot all around, placed between the buildings so that they would not fall into the street.
Makes it look like its connecting 2 buildings across one another but its there for pure support.

Thats how that country is. Beatiful but barely holding on.

Met a doctor from Spain over there who explained the beauty of the leaf. Year, Weather, Location etc...etc...Very informative.
Enjoyed several great cigars but honestly did not really understand too much. Fell in love with Partagas and even today, still lean towards them with heavy vigor.

I am in the process of buying a Humidor.
Want to get something in the 300 count range because I immediately want to start buying boxes of stogs I like. And so the whole Smart Investment from the beginning thing is not as easy as many of you Vets are likely expecting it to be.

I have heard so many different ideas on whats good and whats bad, my head continues to spin. {{{ pOp }}} see, there. It just fell off again.

I just want to make a smart 1st purchase decision.
eBay is showing some 300ct Ravello's for $65? WTF??? How can that be when CheapHumidors is selling them for $199. Are the eBay guys fake?

Is there a way to simply buy anything you want and no matter what, as long as you use your head, you can turn it into a fine case no matter what?
Even if its not lined with Cedar can I just get Cedar from boxes and line it in and voila - problem solved?

Imperfects are fine as well. Budget is $150 or less and I just wanna get going. The whole plastic bag thing is wearing thin.

I was at a Cigar Shop today where several of the shop-owners had not even heard of Coolerdors. I mean. Wow. How can that be? He literally looked at me like I was "special" when I said those words. He did not believe me.

And then I hear about VinoTemps.

All great.
I am sure there are hosts of threads on the subject and I will begin diving in.

Welcome to Puff! Yes there is a lot to learn here for sure.
Here is a link to a imperfect at Tampa Humidors a 300 count for 125. I have seen many people order their humis from there (imperfect) and it takes them a while just to find what was wrong with it (scratch etc).
