This forum has been a great source of information for me and I've been lurking for the past couple weeks and thought I'd introduce myself before asking any questions. I was introduced to this forum from a YouTube video by Dubinthedam (major of the pipe forums on Puff).

First a little about myself, my name is Don, I'm 24 and going to basic training for the USMC in November and I live in San Diego; I can't wait 'tll I can start the next phase of my life.

I was introduced to cigar smoking by another Youtube user (Stogieman1) who sent my a 5 cigar sampler and I'm so grateful that he introduced me to another enjoyable aspect of tobacco. I have to say the community of cigar and pipe smokers online is an amazing group of people.

So far, I've ordered a little sampler from CI, a hygrometer, humidor, a cutter, lighter, and some beads from Heartfelt and I've gotta say this hobby is a slippery slope and I think I should hide my credit card for a bit. I was at Wal-mart the other day looking at coolers but I figured I should wait until I get my humidor first so I can first properly obtain the experience maintaining a small number of sticks.

Thus, this has been my experience so far. Thanks to everyone and their educational posts. I would have never begun this lifelong journey of smoking stogies if it weren't for the online community on Puff and Stogieman1. Thanks in advance for all the helpful replies. I can't wait to share my experience with all y'all.

Welcome. And congrats on your career choice!! Once you get through boot camp youll really enjoy the military.....I did. Just remember its all a big mind game. They just want to see how well you follow directions. Keep your chin up and dont make eye contact and it will be over in no time. My nephew was the biggest screw up of all and they made a Marine out of him! Again welcom...and good luck!
