A Long Overdue 'Hello Again'!

For those of you who remember me, a big, warm hello again! And to all the noobs who have come to call this place home ... welcome.

I haven't posted here in FOREVER. And please know it's not because I haven't wanted to. It's simply because that little thing called 'Life' kept finding excuses for me to just browse quickly and move on to the next thing.

To all my friends and neighbors who made me feel so welcome when I first jumped in here, I've missed you one and all. I lurk from time to time when I can just to try and keep up but alas, it's never long enough anymore to be able to join in any reindeer games.

To quickly sum up, in the past year, my daughter has turned 1 and is the greatest joy in the world to me. I can spend the entire day watching her grow and simply ... be ... and I can barely contain the love I feel for her. The wife and I do everything we can to make her happy and she spent her first bday at Disney. Soon, she'll be on her first international flight to Mexico to go on an extended family vacation with her aunt, uncle and soon-to-be-born cousin, as well as grandma and grandpa. Meanwhile, we also just purchased our first home and are in the process of moving from the apartment that my wife and I have called home for the last 7 years. As you can imagine, that's quite a bit of stuff accumulated. The new house has a fantastic deck which I hope to christen soon with a fine stogie. Work has been ridiculously busy on both the salaried and freelance ends. Good and bad but I can sleep later, right?

I'm still a loyal fan of all things cigar... the DogWatch Social club is always on heavy rotation on my iPod and I read the reviews here when I can to keep up with the latest and greatest. I recently spent a boys' night out with some friends at Club Macanudo in NYC (a regular haunt for our crew) and I thought (as I was puffing on my LGC Serie R #5) "I wish I could rent this place out for a Club Stogie party."

Now, I do owe a few people here a few things and I promise everyone that I am going to get them to you all. I really just need to get settled in the new home and to let the year quiet down a bit so I can get back into the swing of things.

I really have missed participating in this forum and I've missed the conversations with all my cigar buddies here. Thanks to all of you who have dropped me a note to check in on me. Rest assured, all is very very good ... just very very busy.

I'll try to be around more so save a stogie for me willya guys?
